We sourced these vintage sarees in India for their rare beauty — hand embroidery in metallic thread, patterns never mass-produced, silk that has already lived a life.
The rarity of these fabrics means there's only enough for a very few. So each is made only upon order. Once the fabric is turned into a jacket for you, there won't be another one like it. We've shared some swatches to show you their intricate details — and here's how it works:
- Choose your saree. Each swatch is the real vintage saree that will be turned into a bomber. The one you select is reserved for you the moment you order.
- Choose your closure. Zipper for a clean, modern line; buttons for a softer, heritage finish. (See product images for referenecs)
- Choose standard sizes or share your measurements: in the order note at checkout. For custom measurements: please share your bust, desired length (from shoulder to waist), overall height and waist size. We will contact you directly there's missing information.

Words by Mihika] I remember my ancestral home in Rajasthan, a place rich with diverse tribal communities. I was so inspired by the village women who adorned themselves with rich textiles & artistic traditions.
The women would braid their hair using fabric scraps found around the house. This led to my exploration and fascination with turning scraps into something beautiful and meaningful.
This project first took form when my mother and I worked on a personal project - mending a pair of old jeans with scraps, leftover laces, patches from Indian wear - giving what feels like waste, a second life.
Each piece carries a story that is shaped by its journey. It has travelled through Indian markets, village workshops, artisanal homes, and our art studio - reflecting the soul of its origin.
Blending heritage textiles with modern sihlouettes allows me to create something fresh while keeping a connection to the past. It’s about evolving the materials, giving them new meaning.
