Fafafan works closely with artisans & small workshops in Ghana & Togo using vintage West African textiles. Each production is extremely limited and can never be repeated.
Their intention is to create economic opportunities within communities where craft originates and preserve ancestral knowledge passed down through generations.
Kente and Wax textiles are thoughtfully sourced from local markets in Ghana and Togo - the designs always tell stories through their colors, symbolism, and visual rhythm.
Both textiles are West Africa’s finest. Neither is merely "clothing"; both are viewed as vital social tools used to signify a wearer's status, identity or celebrate major milestones.
The fan frames are crafted from a combination of wood and recycled leather, Giving the entire piece a more rustic and rooted feeling.
