CARE
We believe in preserving the craftsmanship and quality of each piece. Wash only when truly necessary. In many cases, spot cleaning or simply airing the garment is enough. Proper ironing helps realign the fibers and improve their durability and structure. Caring for your garment with attention will ensure a long lifespan.
Please follow these recommendations:
– Hand wash only
– Do not bleach
– Do not tumble dry
SHIPMENT TIME (DIFFERS BY BRAND)
This process takes anywhere between 2 weeks to complete as it is sensitive to seasonal and environmental factors.
If you would like a piece by a specific date, please email us at hello@avte-bardo.com so we can accommodate your needs.
Store exchanges are accepted unless the piece is custom made to order.
EVERY PIECE IS UNIQUE
The images above are references; patterns, tone, and texture will vary due to the limitations of antiques. No two pieces are ever the same.
INTRICATE HANDWORK
Antique textiles made from women of past generations are carefully hand-constructed into modern silhouettes, while preserving the delicary & character of the original materials.
A CULTURAL HOMAGE
The designers source antiques from Argentina & Europe from the 18th & 20th century, preserving the intricate craft that has long been forgotten.
This project began with our deep fascination with the antique textiles that adorned our grandparents' homes in Argentina.
We want to bring these intricately crafted pieces (now often stored away) back into life and honor the women & their craft from previous generations.
European textiles from the 18th-20th century & Ñandutí, a traditional lace embroidery made by Guarani women in Paraguay, are featured in every piece.
Female artisans hand-crochet the delicate details and tailors in small studios in Barcelona & Argentina bring the designs to life.
Countless hours of intricate handwork are dedicated to every piece, and we always allow the materials and their unique history to guide our design.
