DESCRIPTION
Crafted from white deadstock Irish linen, a hand finished 'deshilado' neckline and fully hand embroidered panels at the neckline and hem.
The embroidery on this piece was created in collaboration with artisans from Ocotlán de Morelos and San Antonino Castillo Velasco, communities renowned for their extraordinary embroidery traditions. Many of the floral motifs draw inspiration from the wildflowers of the Sierra Norte and form part of a visual language that has been passed down through generations of women.
Only one of each. A true heirloom that holds the memories & history of female artisans from Oaxaca.
One size as it has such a loose fit. The models here are 5'2 & 5'4.
CARE
We believe in preserving the craftsmanship and quality of each piece. Wash only when truly necessary. In many cases, spot cleaning or simply airing the garment is enough. Proper ironing helps realign the fibers and improve their durability and structure. Caring for your garment with attention will ensure a long lifespan.

There is little formal history tracking the origins & evolution of San Antonino embroidery. These pieces become tangible record of cultural memory.
MADE BY 3 ARTISAN FAMILIES
One sketches & embroiders, the other makes natural dyes , and another cuts & sews the fabrics to create timeless silhouettes.
DEADSTOCK LUXURY FABRICS
Every fabric featured is natural, breathable, and repurposed — chosen and sourced with longevity in mind.
Each garment carries the handwriting of the indigenous women of Ocotlán de Morelos who embroidered it — the embroidery is a tribute to Oaxaca's Sierra Norte and Zapotec heritage.
Designer Anushka collaborates with Alejandra, Zoila, Pati, and their families, who learned San Antonino embroidery and deshilado as children from the women before them.
A process rooted in friendship: Alejandra hand-draws each Sierra Norte wildflower; the others embroider it, intentionally reflecting the shifting gradients of petals under the Oaxacan sun.
Every artisan has her own ‘handwriting’ when embroidering, making each piece distinct. Luisa embroiders very tightly & neatly, whereas Pati’s style feels more relaxed & rustic.
Every garment is cut and sewn in Mexico City from deadstock fabric — Irish linen, Japanese seersucker, cotton voile — giving existing luxury textiles a second life.
